Welcome to the Stroubles Creek Watershed

Welcome. This is my Stroubles Creek Watershed blog. I hope to supply you with knowledge, videos, and visuals to understand this very special watershed located in, under, and around Blacksburg, Virginia. Blacksburg Virginia is where Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University is located (aka Virginia Tech or VT). Parts of Stroubles Creek flows underneath the Drillfield of Virginia Tech and also under many university and town buildings. According to the New River Conservancy, "Stroubles Creek has been designated an impaired waterway since 2002. The Stroubles Creek watershed has experienced pollution going back to the 1800s."
